A confident and outgoing personality is essential to ensure that all of the guests know who you are. You are the go-to-person for questions, queries, and general chitchat. You are the face of the company and your primary role is to ensure that all elements of the holiday, outside of our activity provision, are provided in the most efficient and customer-focused way possible.

BeyondBeach are looking for an individual who has a passion for a busy lifestyle and has the ability to live and work in a small team. You will be self-motivated and able to work without supervision. You will need to be hardworking and a great people person. As a Host at one of our busy beach clubs, you will share your time between office duties and guest interaction. This role is all about supporting the Beach Club Manager in ensuring every element of the guests holiday is delivered to the highest standard possible. The activity staff look after the activity program, leaving you to make sure all other aspects of the holiday run well. For example, you will prepare manifests, put welcome letters in rooms, collate feedback scores, obtain reviews, book excursions, book taxis, promote evening socials, upsell RYA courses, upsell fitness classes, archive weekly paperwork, attend welcome meals and support the hotel team. The key to the success of this role is making sure you are available, approachable, and visible throughout the week. 

Your daily routine will include: routine admin, weekly paperwork checklists, upselling activities, taking payments, socialising with guests, responding to guests needs, and helping the beach team.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Attending daily staff meetings.
• Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints.
• Booking excursions and activities.
• Daily and weekly admin tasks..
• Actively promote in resort activities. 
• Upsell RYA courses and Fitness classes.
• Ongoing training to improve job-related skills.
• Assisting the beach staff with their daily duties. 
• Dealing with first aid needs.
• Socialising with guests.
• Attending welcome meals and welcome meetings.
• Supporting daytime and evening social events, such as BBQs and volleyball.
• Understanding the Operating Procedures and ensuring they are adhered to at all times.

Job Requirements

• First Aid Certificate
• Experience working in the leisure industry
• Experience working in a customer-facing role
• Confident solving problems
• Confident engaging with guests and enthusing them about activities
• Computer literate
• Sailing, Windsurfing or Paddleboarding experience (desirable)
• Competent Swimmer
• Ability to work well within a team
• Clean and tidy appearance
• Clean DBS check
• Over 18 years of age
