Camp Chef – Luxury Wilderness Camp in Greenland

Cook in the Arctic Wilderness – Seasonal Chef Wanted! 🍽️🏔️

We are looking for a seasonal chef to join our remote wilderness camp in Greenland from late May to mid or late September. This is a unique opportunity to cook in one of the world’s most breathtaking and remote locations, using fresh, local ingredients such as reindeer, musk ox, Arctic fish, and foraged herbs.

Our kitchen may be in a tent or remote cabin, but the ambition is high—we aim to create refined, high-quality meals in the heart of nature. You will work closely with a kitchen helper/waiter, who will assist with preparing some meals like breakfast or lunch, ensuring a smooth and engaging dining experience for guests.

What You'll Be Doing

✔️ Creating daily menus based on fresh, local ingredients
✔️ Cooking high-level meals in a unique, remote setting
✔️ Preparing breakfast, lunch, and a three-course dinner
✔️ Working closely with a kitchen helper/waiter, who can assist in preparing some meals like breakfast or lunch
✔️ Smoking and preserving fish or meat for guests to take home
✔️ Ensuring a clean and well-organized kitchen in a challenging outdoor environment

How Our Team Works

We have three chefs in total, covering two remote camps. Each camp has one chef and one kitchen helper/waiter, and we coordinate across 800 km between camps to cover for each other when needed. This requires good communication and flexibility, as travel between locations must be planned in advance.

Who We’re Looking For

• Experienced chef, preferably with fine dining or gourmet experience
• Passionate about cooking with local and seasonal ingredients
• Comfortable working in a remote wilderness camp for an extended period
• A strong team player who can collaborate with the kitchen and service team
• Adaptable and creative, able to adjust menus based on available ingredients
• Able to coordinate with other chefs across long distances
