A fantastic opportunity to work in the world’s premier windsurfing resort within a highly motivated hospitality team on the island of Lefkada, Vasiliki Bay

Club Vass 2025:

The full season runs from the 04/05/25 - 05/10/25with 1st guests arriving 18/05/25, allowing 2 weeks set-up and training. Club Vass has two bars and a main restaurant. The Hotel is 64 beds but we also have three other small hotels/villas we use. In high season we take around 150-250 guests per week. The resort is also open to the public so it’s very busy in high season in all areas of the Club. The bar and restaurant will serve up to 200 covers per day in peak times. The beach bar is the social hub of the Club and very important to the daily running of the resort. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast (8.30-11.00) and lunch (12.00-15.00), Pizza Night on Tuesdays (18.30-21.30) and the Legendary Club Vass BBQ on Fridays (from 20.00)

Chef Role :

We are recruiting for a chef to work within our kitchen team to cover the busy restaurant for any period the head chef is not present. To manage the team in their absence, taking responsibility for hygiene, food production and plating, maintaining the standards set by the head chef and to liaise with the management of the hotel. This is an exciting role with potential for huge development and learning the ‘ins and outs’ of the higher kitchen roles in a safe, busy environment which can happily achieve 200 covers over 2 services per day.

Job Description:

·      Working with the catering team to produce main restaurant menu and staff food

·      Providing a high level of service to guests adhering to dietary requirements and individual needs 

·      Daily food preparation

·      Cleaning down sections of the kitchen and stores

Essential skills:

·      Very able and confident chef with proven catering experience

·      Excellent adherence to health, safety and hygiene requirements

·      Monitoring portion and waste control to ensure minimal wastage

·      Ambition and flair to bring your own experience to a busy and thriving restaurant

·      Excellent work ethic, reliable and a team player

·      Salary: Comprehensive + bonus on completion of contract
