Chef & Housekeeper / Front of House Assistant (Couple Role) 

Location: Courchevel, French Alps  

Contract Type: Seasonal, Live-In (December - April)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic couple to join our team in our boutique hotel located in the beautiful ski resort of Courchevel. We are looking for a Chef to run our kitchen independently and a Housekeeper/Front of House (FOH) Assistant for a flexible role, which includes housekeeping services in guest bedrooms, waiting or bartending.

Chef Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the kitchen operations, preparing and serving dinner for up to 30 guests per evening.
- Prepare a daily buffet consisting of:
 - Soup
 - Choice of two starters
 - Choice of two mains
 - Cheese and charcuterie boards (on request)
 - Choice of desserts (pre-prepared elements welcome)
- Focus on hearty, family-style meals that cater to a variety of tastes. 
- Maintain a well-organized kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with hygiene standards.
- Manage stock levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure the kitchen is well-prepared for the season whilst also managing expenditure and adhering to budgets.
- Ability to accommodate dietary requirements when necessary.

Housekeeper/FOH Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide support in a flexible capacity, either as a waiter, bartender, or housekeeper, depending on the needs of the hotel.
- Assist in serving meals, preparing drinks, or maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Be attentive and responsive to guest needs, delivering excellent customer service.
- Help manage the dining room or bar area during dinner service.
- Maintain cleanliness in shared areas and guest rooms if assigned to housekeeping.

What We’re Looking For:

Chef:

-Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or chalet environment. A passion for creating hearty, comforting meals with a high level of organization and independence.

FOH Assistant:

- A flexible, adaptable individual with a strong focus on customer service. Prior experience in hospitality is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a small, close-knit team.
- A couple with a positive attitude, team spirit, and a love for mountain life.
