We offer our Explorers Kids Clubs in a number of our 5* resorts and we put an emphasis on creating long lasting memories for the whole family, creating friendships, engaging children from beginning to end with innovative activities and excursions. Infusing passion through our highly trained and dedicated childcare teams.  

We are looking for experienced childcare staff to join the kids club teams in Greece and Portugal for a number of dates from April 2025 until November 2025. 

Role Purpose

To run and manage the children’s club operation in resort ensuring the children are cared for in a safe environment and an exciting and stimulating programme of activities are provided to all age groups.

Responsibilities
“Nothing is too much trouble” will be your motto while caring for the children, planning and delivering an engaging and age-appropriate range of activities.  You will:

  • Organise and manage the Explorers for children aged 4 months upwards.
  • Manage, oversee, train and mentor a team of Childcare Assistants.
  • Liaise with the wider team, including those based in the UK.
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding practices throughout the club.
  • Create strong relationships with the hotel staff.
  • Have a flexible approach and be prepared to step in to ratio where necessary.

Duties
Working hard while having fun, you will:

  • Provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Plan and manage the day to day running and operation of the children’s club.
  • Work closely with the Resort Manager ensuring clear communication.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Supervise, lead and support the childcare assistants throughout the season.
  • Organise and provide training and guidance to team members where needed.
  • Schedule and run team meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Encourage team feedback to share thoughts, ideas and concerns.
  • One to one monthly check-in meetings with team members.
  • Ensure quality and healthy snacks / lunches are provided to the guests in your care
  • Always oversee / maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Implement all policies and procedures to guarantee an efficient operation at high standard.
  • Coordinate, organise and implement a range of age-appropriate activities.
  • Ensure all records and forms are completed correctly and on time.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to your superior.
  • Travel to / work in different resorts in line with business needs
  • Communicate with parents throughout their stay regarding their child’s wellbeing.
  • Organise team logistics
  • Oversee / take part in a range of sporting, cooking and crafting activities including water sports.

Essential Experience

  • Clear spoken and written English
  • CACHE level three qualified or equivalent recognised and accredited childcare qualification
  • Experience of leading, supporting and managing a team
  • Experience of working in a childcare role
  • Experience of working with children under five years of age
  • Experience of working with a variety of age groups
  • Confident swimmer

Desirable Attributes

  • Worked overseas in similar role
  • Additional languages
  • Experience of working with children 4 months to 15 years plus
  • Full clean EU driving license
  • Paediatric first aid qualification

You must be resident in Greece or Portugal or hold dual nationality to be employed.

Holders of EU passports are welcome to apply to work on a self-employed basis. 

Please note that you will be required to hold a current criminal background check / disclosure and barring service check. If you do not have one, you will be required to obtain this prior to arrival in resort.
