Cook/General Help

We are looking principally for someone who can cook for our guests in the manor house.  They are often guests of our weddings and there could be two sittings of up to 15/16 on a Saturday and Sunday morning.  Sometimes we need a family meal cooked for the bridal party on the Friday evening for up to about 30.  

We have occasional corporate/yoga/celebrations  to cater for as well. The emphasis is on nicely presented home-cooked food and not restaurant or grand menus.  All menus are agreed beforehand so cooking and ordering can be organised in advance.

The successful applicant needs to be organised  and good at keeping everything clean and orderly as well as being a cheerful front of house person.

The cooking job certainly is rarely full time.  Either the applicant can do part-time if they have other interests or we are happy to add hours with housekeeping/bar work for the weddings/gardening etc.

This could be a job for 2 friends or for one person who would be given support from our existing team.

We can offer accommodation if the person/people don't live close enough.  We also have fields in case there is a horse enthusiast out there!

To recap - we want someone ( or two!) reliable and hardworking; fun and flexible; an organised person who is able to work alone but also as a team.
