Excursion and Residential Team Members

Severnvale Academy is recruiting a number of fixed term roles for our 6 Week Summer Camp.  We are located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and provide English language courses for International students aged 12-17. 

The fixed term roles offer the option to live in or live out while acting as excursion or residential team members for our exciting activity programme which includes visits to places of interest throughout the country.

As excursion team member your main responsibilities will be to: 

·         Supervise students during weekly excursions, take registers and work under the instructions of the Course Director and Excursion Team Leaders during this time 

·         Read, sign and adhere to risk assessments

·         Assist with airport runs.

·         Assist with excursion arrangements, prepare groups for activities

As residential team member your main responsibilities will be to: 

·         Assist in house duties, including wake-up and bedtime duties. 

·         Assist with student arrival and departure processes – flexibility is required as this may include some early starts and late finishes.

·         Deliver evening activities, assist in set up and conclusion. 

·         Ensure all incidents are reported, and all incident forms are complete and given to your line manager. 

·         Responsible for the pastoral care and well-being of all the international young learners. 

For residential roles, accommodation, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meals are included in the role when on duty.
