JCA Housekeeper - 2025

We are looking for part-time Housekeeping Assistants to join our vibrant team at our Children’s Activity Centre, Condover Hall which is based just on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Condover Hall is an elegant Grade I listed three-storey Elizabethan sandstone building, described as the grandest manor house in Shropshire, standing in a conservation area on the outskirts of Condover village.

This is a seasonal vacancy from 27th January to 24th October 2025 with the option to return for the 2026 season.

The details:

·         Salary up to £11.55 per hour, increasing from April

·         Part-time hours to work a mix of Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday

·         Working hours are 8am or 9am to 5.30pm

·         Interviews will be conducted in January 2025

·         Accommodation is not available and you will need your own transport to travel to Condover Hall due to the     location 

Day to day, your key duties will include:

·         Cleaning guest accommodation to include bathrooms

·         Preparing bedding ahead of their arrival

·         Cleaning the communal areas within the manor along with our swimming pool area

·         Working to maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards

·         Ensuring the storerooms are stocked with necessary linens, guest supplies and cleaning equipment

·         Helping to decorate the centre for events

·         Working in a fast-paced and often physically demanding environment on our busy guest arrival and departure days

What we’re looking for:

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Able to work on own initiative and happy to try new things

·         A team player – but also happy to work as an individual

·         Reliable and responsible

·         Previous experience working in a housekeeping or cleaning position is desirable but not essential
