JCA 2025 - Night Security Person

We have a unique opportunity for a full time Night Security person to join our vibrant JCA team.  Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, near Gloucester and the historic town of Tewkesbury, JCA Croft Farm Waterpark provides residential outdoor adventure trips for school & youth groups.

This is a seasonal position from 21st of April to the 18th of July.

The details:

• Seasonal, full-time position
• Salary is paid at £14.00 per hour
• Working hours are from 22:30pm through to 07:30am, Monday to Friday
• Due to the nature of the work, the company will make an Application for a Criminal Records Check (DBS).

Your key duties can include:

• Whilst our guests and staff sleep, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Monitoring the CCTV, regular patrols and keeping record of any situations that arise.
• Effective control of the centre entrances.
• Monitoring staff and guest behaviour, swiftly resolving any situations that may cause a disturbance.
• Following due diligence procedures.
• Providing customer service, dealing with guest queries or complaints.
• Being a key-holder and securing the centre as required.
• Reporting staff sickness.
• Dealing with minor maintenance issues & cleaning of communal guest areas.
• Taking the initial lead in managing any emergency procedures during the night.
• Completing tasks that contribute towards the presentation of the centre.
• Holding the out of hours centre emergency phone.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience working in an overnight role, or comfortable with working a night role.
• Basic maintenance knowledge, someone who can assist with maintenance issues that arise overnight.
• Someone who is comfortable working with children, with excellent customer service skills.
• Someone who is happy to turn their hand to anything, no two nights are the same and you could find yourself dealing with anything from a maintenance issue to something more serious.
• A reliable individual who can think on their feet and deal with a range of situations as they arise.
• Someone who has or is willing to complete a first aid qualification.
