JCA’s flagship activity centre is Condover Hall based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. We boast over 40 different activities to choose from and can host over 500 guests at one time – a super exciting and unique place to work.

This is a full-time seasonal vacancy from January – October 2025 with the option to return for the 2026 season.

The details:

• Seasonal contract from 27th January to 24th October 2025
• Full-time position working 40 hours per week
• Working hours 11am – 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, with the exception of our Sport Tournament weekends where you will work Wednesday to Sunday
• The role will involve working evenings & weekends
• Salary will increase from April 2025
• Accommodation is not available, and you will need your own transport to travel to Condover Hall due to the location

What we’re looking for:

·         Proven experience in a similar position is desirable, but not essential.

·         Reliable and punctual.

·         Confident in working in a busy and fast-paced environment.

·         Enjoys working individually but is also confident as part of a wider team.

·         Has great customer service skills.

·         Flexible to accommodate varying shift times including evenings and weekends.

·         Enjoys working with children.

·         18+ years

·         Has a passion for customer service & a ‘can-do’ attitude.

·         Ability to work with your own initiative as there will be periods of unsupervised working.

·         A keen eye for detail.

Day to day, your key duties will include:

·         Serving customers (mainly school age children) in our on-site shop in the manor house.

·         Regular stocking up of the shop and the bar.

·         Physical tasks such as putting away deliveries, lifting and moving sometimes heavy boxes of drinks and merchandise.

·         Being on your feet for a large part of the day, including using stairs.

·         Regular cleaning tasks.

·         Handling money including cashing-up your own till.

·         Performing monthly stock checks.

·         Ensuring all health and safety procedures are effectively adhered to.
