Are you ready to start your next adventure and climb your way to the top?  Our Outdoor Activity Instructor position will take you on a journey like no other!  JCA provides educational activity holidays to school, youth and family groups within the UK.

We are looking for seasonal Outdoor Activity Instructors to join our JCA team from April to July 2025.  This is a residential position based at one of our UK Children’s Activity Centres:  Condover Hall, Shropshire or Croft Farm in Tewkesbury.

The details:

• Live-in position at one of JCA’s Centres, Condover Hall in Shropshire or Croft Farm in the Cotswolds (or live off-site if you live locally!).
• Full-time, seasonal position from 16th April to 20th July 2025
• This role is paid at up to £12.32 per hour.

Your key duties will include:

• With JCA no two days will look the same.  You’ll be the leader of the pack for activities such as fencing, archery and final shoot out at the laser quest.  You will be trained to deliver as many of our activities as possible to our guests.
• You’ll help guests overcome their fears high above the trees, on the abseiling tower and aerial trek.  Keeping your group safe and making sure everyone has the time of their life will be your top priority!
• All of this adventure can be hectic but seeing our guests happy and smiling after a day full of activities is why we say this is the most rewarding journey you will ever take.
• We operate like a big family at JCA & there may be times where you support other departments during our busiest periods, this could be doing anything from making beds to pot wash duties.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• The right candidate will have lots of enthusiasm along with a passion for the outdoors and outdoor activities.
• You must be comfortable in being trained on all of our outdoor activities, some of which involve water, heights & dancing!  We’ll make sure you are trained on as many activities as possible so you have the chance to stay with the same group of guests for the duration of their stay.
• Previous experience working with children in a similar role is desirable.
• This role can be physically demanding & we don’t let the weather stop us!  You will need to be comfortable being active & outdoors in all weathers.
• Our Instructors are responsible for the safety of a group of guests, for this reason the right candidate will have strong leadership skills and who are confident speaking in front of groups.
