Our street food kitchen is an extension of this ethos, bringing vibrant, high-quality dishes to our outdoor dining spaces and events.

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Street Food Chef to join our team. You’ll be responsible for delivering delicious, high-quality dishes from our street food kitchen, supporting events, and contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook street food dishes to a high standard, following Barge East recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Manage food preparation and stock levels, ensuring availability during peak times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
• Set up and break down the street food kitchen, including equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
• Handle deliveries and stock rotation, minimising food waste.
• Engage with guests when serving food, representing Barge East’s values and friendly atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar street food, event catering, or casual dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate desirable).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to busy service periods.
• A passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and sustainable food practices.
• Positive attitude, team spirit, and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts.
