Boost for Scottish Ski Workers

POSTED ON 28 Dec 2009 - POSTED BY Season Workers

Great start to the 2009 / 2010 season in Scotland good sign for hundreds of seasonal staff.

Heavy snowfall in the last week has been good news for Scotland’s ski resorts. Four (out of five) major ski areas are now operating and more snow is forecasted. Cairngorm, Nevis Range, the Lecht and Glenshee (see image of Glenshee on the right taken just yesterday) all have decent coverage and have enjoyed clear weather for a couple of days now.

It’s the first time since 2003 that the Nevis Range has opened before Christmas! This is encouraging news for the hospitality and ski facilities workers employed in Scotland. Glenshee alone can employ over 1000 seasonal staff.
