Cruise rep jobs created by Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook creates holiday rep jobs for cruise programme with NCL (Norweigan Cruise Line)

Thomas Cook’s research into what people want from a cruise has resulted in them providing holiday reps on selected 2009 cruises.

Thomas Cook reps will be onboard NCL’s ships that operate out of Europe, including the Norwegian Gem, Jewel and Jade. The functions will include the usual greeting of customers, booking excursions, and meeting any other needs the client has.

Thomas Cook hopes this will make cruise holidays appeal to more younger couples and families than this type of holiday traditionally attracts.

Thomas Cook place a great importance on the job their reps do. “No two days are ever the same and every hour brings a different challenge. One minute you might be recommending a quiet spot to sunbathe, the next you could be dealing with a knotty problem or complaint. From the point you greet our customers… to the moment you wish them goodbye, you''ll be expected to deliver the exceptional customer service for which Thomas Cook is famous.”
