Get Spanish Summer Jobs before you go

POSTED ON 04 Jan 2010 - POSTED BY SeasonWorkers

Working in Spain this summer will be easier if you plan it and secure a job in advance. Moneycorp survey shows us why.

Recent research by foreign exchange provider, Moneycorp, claims that 70% of British people living in Europe are considering a move back. This does however include Germany where over 50,000 British Military personnel live and would have been coming back anyway.

Having said that, they state that job security is the biggest worry for British UK expats, with 35% concerned for their jobs. Spain topped the poll in this respect with 37% thinking about moving back. There is no age breakdown so this will include pensioners who’s income has been hit hard by the weakened pound.

David Kerns of Moneycorp:

“Our research findings highlight the real impact of the downturn for Brits living abroad. As businesses across Europe continue to cut costs, we could see a surge of expats return to the UK. Unemployment in Spain is evident with many jobs tied to the struggling property sector and new job prospects for younger Brits in the country have all but vanished.”

This all affects how many summer jobs will be available this season ‘on the spot’ so far better to apply for the summer jobs on Season Workers and sort it out before you get there.
