How to get a job for winter 15/16

POSTED ON 10 Aug 2015 - POSTED BY THE chalet host course

I'm having no luck with my applications....

People continually ask us 'how do I get my dream ski job?'

Well lots of answers to this - here's some of them:-

No relevant experience - prospective employers do look at all CV's for customer facing experience I.e. hotel, bar, restaurant, cafe, kitchen, shop etc. We'd suggest getting some part time work in a customer facing role that fits in with studies.

Make your CV stand out from the 100's of others! Two pages maximum, maybe add your date of birth.

If prospective employers ask for a photo, send them one that is appropriate NOT a hill shot with goggles and facemask!

We've seen some applications from horrendous email addresses over the years - ask yourself if '[email protected]' is appropriate for job applications.

Keep a list of applications you've made - some potential employers will dismiss your application if you've applied several times.

A lot of employers look favourably at applicants who have attended or are going to attend a chalet host course. We offer courses with guaranteed interviews from £499 per person.

This list is a guide only and is not exhaustive but we do hope it helps you 'live the dream'.
