IEC Working Holiday Visa for Canada

POSTED ON 31 Oct 2013 - POSTED BY Oyster Worldwide

There are no more spaces available for a IEC Working Holiday Visa for Canada in 2013. The next release of visas for British applicants is expected in January/February 2014. Apply early to secure your place.

We have been sending participants to work in Canada since 2000 and this is our most popular destination for people wanting to find work before the start of the ski season. As many will know, the process for getting a Canadian Work Permit has become increasingly difficult as the popularity has risen. Rest assured, with our many years of experience we are well placed to help make the process as pain-free as possible!

There are no more spaces available for a IEC Working Holiday Visa for Canada in 2013. The next release of visas for British applicants is expected in January/February 2014 (dates to be confirmed).

This year, 5350 Permits were released for British applicants. This quota was released over 3 dates and each batch filled up extremely quickly. In fact the final release on the 7th March 2013 had all places filled with 45 minutes!

We anticipate that the 2014 system will follow a similar online application pattern and will be extremely popular once again.

Therefore, our advice would be to start planning your summer or winter 2014 trip to Canada now! That way, you'll be ready for when the Work Permits are released for 2014 and in good shape to put your application in. Whilst it is your responsibility to ensure you are eligible for, and can get, a Work Permit, we are able to use our years of knowledge to help with any questions you might get stuck on.

Our main advice on this is don’t leave it too late! If you wait until the Spring you may be too late and will have to wait until the 2015 round opens. We are still getting applications every day for people wanting to work in Canada this season and unfortunately we cannot send them to Canada this year. Don't let this be you next year!
