New Outdoor Jobs created in Scotland

A new outdoor facility has recieved planning in West Lothian, creating over 200 jobs.

A £22 million adventure park is to be opened in West Lothian. The centre will have both land based and water sports facilities and staff. The lochs themselves are planned to be utilized as a Royal Yachting Association approved sailing school. Nstructor jobs will be created teaching children and adults how to kayak, sail, wind-surf and water-ski.

There will also be catering facilities and accommodation with should create jobs in the services sector and also on the outdoor centre support side of things.

The project was given the green light by West Lothian Council this week.

Plans are now fully approved and work is scheduled to begin in early 2011, with the intention to create 250 full and part-time positions. The activity centre is scheduled to open its doors at Easter 2013 so best to keep an eye out for jobs being advertised in 2012.
