Ski Resort Management Jobs Online

People with seasonal management experience are in great demand for jobs in ski resorts this season.There are around 50 active, open management positions listed in the Season Workers ski section at the moment ranging from Resort Manager, Area Supervisor through to Assistant Transport Manager Jobs (see Alp Leisure).

Working as a manager in any discipline requires a lot of patience and good judgment. When the job is set in a seasonal environment, often involving staff who are living away from home for the first time, it gets even harder and in turn more rewarding. Experience counts when working seasons in any area. Candidates who have proven track records working as managers for summer operators are ideal for ski management positions.

What's required

Specialist management jobs take into account qualifications in catering and childcare (see the relevant sections on Season Workers above). Most other management jobs are all about being steady and organised under pressure and the ability to live with and manage people who may be struggling.

Language ability

Most management jobs require some degree of language ability but the need varies depending on the size of company (generally the smaller the firm, the wider the range of duties), the job itself and the location (ie what nationalities go there and what languages the locals tend to speak). Italian and German speakers tend to be more difficult to find, simply because less candidates speak these languages than French for example.
