Ski resorts in Europe are opening early.

Snow clearing duties for new ski workers this year

Europe's ski resorts are off to a great start this winter season which is excellent news for resort workers and operators alike. Pretty much all of the higher altitude resorts in France have over 1m on upper slopes already. The snow quality is reported to be excellent with plenty of powder around for those lucky enough to have got out on the slopes early doors. The vast majority of British and Irish ski seasonaires rely on the European season booking well and the heavy early snow should put down a good base for the rest of the season.

Hopefully this news, coupled with a struggling North American market, will get European ski holiday bookings moving. Bookings are down for the first time in a decade, some reporting by as much as 20% year on year.
