Invest NI helps NWA expand TEFL offer

A TEFL Academy of English in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, aims to to attract new course candidates from countries such as Poland, France, Bulgaria and China.

"We have pinpointed a number of good opportunities to market our skills and experience and to promote Londonderry as an ideal location for people, from Europe and beyond, keen to learn English. These are new and potentially very important markets for us." John McGowan - MD North West Academy of English

Invest NI provides support for start-up and existing business in Northern Ireland and have assisted in this venture.

Mr McGowan said "Invest NI's support will enable us to make contacts and to establish our reputation as a significant centre for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Northern Ireland is being seen increasingly in other parts of Europe as an ideal location for people wishing to improve their English skills."
