Barnardo’s Scotland has joined forces with TEFL Scotland, who will now be responsible for training Barnardo’s staff on language awareness, focusing on how to present grammar and new language to the young people they work so closely with. TEFL Scotland will be supplying 2-day classroom courses, online grammar courses and online Enhance my English courses.
Barnardo’s is one of the UK’s most reputable, respected and influential children’s charities. They help vulnerable children and young people to develop their potential through running various projects and vocational programmes, many of which aim to help unemployed young people aged between 16 and 24 toward quality employment opportunities. TEFL Scotland is the UK’s leading TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course provider, also incorporating TEFL England, TEFL Wales and TEFL Courses Ireland. Co-founder of TEFL Scotland Joe Hallwood, said:
“This is an organisation we’re extremely proud to be involved with - we are working toward changing lives for the better.”
The two organisations coming together is a promising initiative, as they aim to greatly enhance the employment opportunities open to young people and refine their skill set so that they are as employable as they can be.
