Diving star Oliver Dingley has achieved a place in Team GB for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney. The 16-year-old from Harrogate is the British men’s one-metre champion.
Team GB chief Mark England said “This festival presents a fantastic opportunity for more than 100 of our finest young potential Olympians to get their first taste of Olympic competition.”
Apart from fantastic opportunities for athletes like Oliver, the event should create a multitude of temporary jobs in the catering and hospitality sector.
At the Sydney Olympics, Adecco, one of the worlds largest staffing agencies, has been reported to have placed over 7000 staff. Keep an eye on SeasonWorkers.com for London Olympics jobs.
