How to find TEFL Jobs
Whether you're a newly certified teacher or an experienced educator, there are several avenues to explore when searching for TEFL job opportunities in the UK and abroad. Universities and colleges in the UK offer English language courses for international students. Language schools and English language centres often hire TEFL teachers to instruct students in English and local and international volunteer organisations, including non-profits, schools, and NGOs recruit volunteers to teach English, many advertise on Season Workers.
There are TEFL focused recruitment agencies like Engage Education that might be able to match you to a vacancy on their books if you want someone else to do the searching for you. Or you could consider applying to online teaching platforms like Preply.
IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) is an important industry resource for TEFL news and finding support, definitely worth a look as its been around since the 60's.
Then there is obviously social media like LinkedIn to follow TEFL job announcements, groups, and pages. Check out specialist TEFL job boards and websites that list teaching positions. Have a look at TEFL.com (this site has been around even longer then Season Workers), the site carries lots of TEFL job listings from around the world, including the UK and Ireland.
